The Bayer designation combinatorially allows up to 88 * 24 = 2112 names for stars. Consider using the names as a code.
It's not a great code, with similar words eta beta zeta theta upsilon epsilon, as well as similar and somewhat unwieldy constellation names, e.g., Trianguli vs Trianguli Australis.
Are there additional nice collections of Latin nouns in genitive case?
It's a bit weird that it's half Greek and half Latin.
Could also add numbers and letters, as is done in astronomy.
