Listening Test.
Tes Listening dalam UNBK SMK terdiri dari 4 bagian, yaitu Picture, Question-Response, Short Conversation dan Short Monolog. Sebenarnya kalau skill in bisa kamu kuasai, nilai UNBK English kamu bisa berpredikat memuaskan, lho! Kenapa? Karena bagian ini terdiri dari 15 soal sendiri. Meski demikian, sayangnya, banyak siswa merasa berat menguasainya. Memang benar skill ini agak susah, terlebih bagi siswa yang jarang mendengarkan lagu atau nonton film berbahasa Inggris. Nah, biar nilai kamu banyak terbantu mulai sekarang berlatihlah mengerjakan soal-soal listening dan coba terapkan tips aplikatif ini. Tips ini saya gunakan saat mengikuti tes TOEIC dan TOEFL beberapa tahun yang lalu, dan alhamdulillah saya bisa mendapat skor lebih dari 600. So, kalau kamu benar-benar ingin tahu, simak baik-baik dan pahami isinya, ya!
Picture
Bagian Picture atau menebak pernyataan yang sesuai dengan gambar dikatakan paling mudah dalam soal listening. Namun salah tips atau terburu-buru menjawabnya bisa buat kamu menebak jawaban yang salah. Tips berikut bisa kamu terapkan agar jawaban soal bagian picture kamu benar.
Buat informasi saja, prediksi soal listening UNBK tahun ini, ada 3 tipe bagian, yaitu:
1. Picture ( kegiatan yang sedang berlangsung indoor/outdoor)
2. Picture Lokasi suatu benda/ posisi sesuai gambar
3. Picture Penampilan/ciri fisik seseorang
Beberapa hal berikut bisa kamu terapkan adalam mengerjakan bagian ini!
1. Menganalisis apa yang ada di gambar sebelum kamu dengarkan soundnya. Analisis ini meliputi:
- Ciri-ciri Fisik Seseorang
Ini bisa kamu lihat dengan menganalisis gambar tentang ciri fisik orang. Bagaimana rambutnya,tingginya, baju yang dikenakan, aksesoris yang dikenakan berupa topi, kalung, dsb
-Arah lokasi benda
Cara menganalisisnya dengan melihat posisi benda atau seseorang terkait apa yang ada di depan, belakang, samping, di bawah atas dsb.
- Kegiatan yang sedang dilakukan
Gambar yang ditunjukkan biasanya berkaitan dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan pada profesi seseorang
Contoh: Supir yang sedang menyetir, Laboran yang sedang praktek di Lab, dsb.
2. Sesudah kamu analisis dan menebak apa yang ada dalam gambar maka kamu bisa klik tanda soundnya untuk mendengarkan.

2. Question-Response.
Bagian ini adalah menjawab respon dari pertanyaan yang didengarkan. Jangan bingung menjawab bagian Questio-response. Intinya kamu harus menjawab respon yang tepat dari sebuah pertanyaan/pernyataan
Beberapa tips yang bisa digunakan untuk menjawab bagian ini adalah:
1. Perhatikan WH Questions yang muncul saat didengarkan di awal pertanyaan
Dengarkan baik-baik, apakah terdengar ada pertanyaan “What, When, Where, Who, How atau Why.” Jika terdengar kata “What” tentunya kamu harus menjawab sebuah benda atau informasi, jika terdengar kata “ When” jawabannya berupa waktu, “Who” jawabannya harus berupa nama orang, dsb.
2. Perhatikan ungkapan yang muncul saat kamu dengarkan.
Apakah itu muncul ungkapan berupa ajakan seperti kalimat “ Would you like to come to mya house tomorrow morning?” atau
Kalimat meminta saran, contohnya saat kamu mendengar sebuah problem yang diungkapkan “ I am so dizzy, what should I do?
Kalimat menawarakan bantuan seperti kalimat “ Your book is so heavy, May I give you a hand/ help?
Saat muncul ungkapan seperti dicontohkan di atas, tentunya kamu harus menjawab sesuai respon yang pernah diajarkan.
3. Jangan terkecoh dengan respon yang terdengar sama. Bisa jadi itu sengaja diperdengarkan sebagai PENGECOH biar kamu bingung.

Pembahasan: pernyataan menawarkan bantuan “The books you brought look very heavy, Would you like me to help you?” seharusnya direspon dengan jawaban menerima/menolak; jadi yang tepat adalah “C” it’s very kind of you ( kamu sangat baik sekali)
Perhatikan kata yang terdengar sama BISA JADI ITU PENGECOH. Seperti yang bisa kamu lihat di pilihan A, muncul kata help, B, muncul kata help lagi, atau yang C muncul kata book, bought. KATA TERDENGAR SAMA/ PENGECOH JANGAN DIPILIH
5. asking/giving opinion
Woman: What do you think if students are banned to bring smartphone at school?
A. That’s right, I lost my smartphone.
B. I think that’s good idea.
C. The students here are all smart
D. My school is far from home.
Pembahasan: pernyataan asking/giving opinion (menanyakan pendapat) “What do you think if students are banned to bring smartphone at school?”seharusnya direspon dengan jawaban memberi pendapat setuju atau tidak; jadi yang tepat adalah “B” I think that’s good idea.
Perhatikan kalimat yang terdengar sama BISA JADI ITU PENGECOH. KATA TERDENGAR SAMA tetapi tidak nyambung dengan pernyataannya bisa jadi itu PENGECOH jadi JANGAN DIPILIH

Pada bagian ini kamu akan mendengar percakapan singkat. Yang harus kamu lakukan adalah kamu pahami dulu maksud pertanyaannya baru kamu pencet simbol sound untuk kamu dengarkan secara seksama.

Short Monologue .
Bagian ini berupa sebuah monologue penjelasan sesuatu (biasanya berupa pengumuman, iklan atau sebuah instruksi). Sound yang diperdengarkan dua kali dan setiap monologue terdiri dari 2 soal. Untuk itu perlu kamu pahami dulu soal yang ada, kemudian bisa kamu tebak kira-kira yang akan diperdengarkan tentang apa. Setelah itu baru klik tombol sound.
