AGREEMENT AND DISAGREEMENT

 Dears and Guys, hari ini kita belajar tentang bagaimana cara mengungkapkan setuju dan tidak setuju dalam Bahasa Inggris. 

Kalau dalam keseharian pernah nggak kamu mengungkapkannya? Pernah? Atau tidak pernah? 

Pasti pernah karena dalam kehidupan kita tidak semua pikiran manusia itu sama. Sama seperti tentang isu terkini, yaitu Pandemik Corona. Kamu percaya nggak sih kalau si Coro itu ada?

Ada yang iya tapi ada yang ngomong itu hoax alias berita bohong.

Sekarang coba pahami dialog berikut:

 Anto: Eh, do you believe that Corona exists? Jerix said it was a hoax

Andrew: Jerix? Uhh! I disagree with him. If it's a hoax, why do so many people die?
 Indonesia’s cases are 128,776 and the deaths are 5,824. That’s so dangerous.
Anto: That's so true. So it’s better for us and our families following proper health protocols.
Andrew: 100% I totally agree

 

Anto: Eh, kamu percaya Corona  kalau itu ada? Jerinx bilang itu Cuma hoax

Andrew: Jerinx? Aku nggak setuju sama dia. Kalau hoax, kenapa banyak orang meninggal dunia? Di Indonesia kasusnya ada 128,776 dan yang meninggal 5,824. Bahaya banget, kan?

Anto : Ya, Kamu benar. Sebaiknya kita melindungi diri kita dan keluarga mengikuti protokol kesehatan dengan benar.

Andrew: 100% aku setuju pake banget)

  • (agree with negative statement) Me neither.

Expressing disagreement

  • I don't think so.
  • (strong) No way.
  • I'm afraid I disagree.
  • (strong) I totally disagree.
  • I beg to differ.
  • (strong) I'd say the exact opposite.
  • Not necessarily.

  • That's not always the case.
  • No, I'm not so sure about that.
