THE SHIKWEKWES.COM

May 07, 2007

Litu the man behind this cartoon strip grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. An ardent caricaturist, Litu had been a cartoonist for both his high school and university magazines. In 2002, he came up with the idea of the Shikwekwes. The idea was to give a funny look at an African family as they struggle to cope with the demands of the modern age - with a light touch. There is Stanlaus , the doting father and head of the Shikwekwe clan, Bernice the heart of the family, Zakayo the dot-com teenager, Phyllis the family comedian, Liengu, the youngest member of the family and finally, Simba their pet.

Join them as they come to grips with the 21st Century!
