DTB DTB135: Shatter (Mutant) Minifig MOC

May 23, 2020 Add Comment

First found out about him in The Gifted; that was a pretty decent show about Mutants if you ask me, too bad it's over. He was teammates with Blink that's why she's on the picture too.

He's like a mutant version of Luke Cage if I recall correctly!

Parts used:
Head - Blue Beetle then I used Sharpie to cover the non-black parts around the face
Torso - Miguel from Coco
Others - Generic

He's supposed to have some sort of bullet mark on his face, which is why I'm using a hood to cover it up, lol!

DTB DTB134: Crossbow (Daredevil Villain) Minifig MOC

May 22, 2020 Add Comment

Crossbow is a mercernary that Daredevil fought with in the comics. He's not popular and only appeared in a few issues. I just decided to make him cause of his similar design to Green Arrow.

They're so similar that I won't even list the parts I used, just pick which Green Arrow you think fits best. Plus a red or brown crossbow if you have it cause it'll look better.

Inspiration images:

Based on the images I found of him, he's either wearing an all-green attire or a green with brown torso attire. I stuck with the all green attire and chose a more modern Green Arrow costume because I wanted Crossbow to be more modern and it was the only spare Green Arrow minifigure I had, lol.

Can't wait to get more new minifigures and parts for more MOCs. Hopefully the world recovers from this virus soon. Since stores like AngeloMarcus Greenhills were closed for a long while due to quarantine, I resorted to looking up spare minifigures and turning them into MOCs so that I keep adding to my Marvel collection. I think though that Greenhills has started to reopen, if you're gonna visit, bring all the necessary and recommended things like your passes, masks, alcohol, etc.!

Stay safe everyone!

DTB DTB133: Ragnarok (Thor Android) Minifig MOC

May 19, 2020 Add Comment

In the Civil War event in Marvel comics, Thor was missing for a while so someone had a Thor android made. This android would then turn evil and become Ragnarok! Pretty vague description, I know, to avoid spoilers!

He does fight with Volstagg in some issues which is why he's in the picture.

Parts used:
Head - Cyborg Superman
Others - Classic Thor

I actually found out about this guy when I saw him in the Lego Marvel videogame.
There are other cyborg-like heads out there but what I liked about the Cyborg Superman head I used is that the robot sides are on the same sides!

DTB DTB132: Marvel's Howling Commandos (MCU WWII) Minifigs MOC Preivew

May 18, 2020 Add Comment

Captain America and Bucky aren't MOCs.
This Captain America is from DLP DLP9050/Kopf KF222. Bucky is from XINH (XH945).
This picture was taken way before, and if I would retake the picture, I'd use the Captain America figure from KORUIT or XINH.

From L-R
(I'll just label them the way I aligned them in the photo lol)
DTB132A - Jacques Dernier
DTB132B - Gabe Jones
DTB132C - Dum Dum Dugan
DTB132D - James Montgomery Falsworth
DTB132E - Jim Morita

Most of these parts are just recycled parts from generic military figures that I had lying around. Though I will name the parts that I can:

DTB132C - Dum Dum Dugan
Hat - Lele Ultra Agents
Head - Not sure, but you can use any male head then add the moustache accessory (like I did with my other Dum Dum Dugan minifigure MOC)

DTB132D - James Montgomery Falsworth
Hat - Generic, but you can get one from KF2005 Cammi
Head - Generic, but you can use one from TLBM's Egghead
Torso - Rebel Pilot from Star Wars

DTB132E - Jim Morita
Head - Not sure, but you can find better looking ones, and hopefully a more Asian-looking one that what I used
Torso - Admilar Caluan

These parts that I used were really just used because I already had them lying around, I encourage you to try to look at your collection and recycle some existing parts that you can use for your own Howling Commandos!

Inspiration images:

Yeah not all of them look like my figs, but I'll just pretend they have other uniforms hahaha!

I've got more Howling Commandos coming soon, and not these MCU/WWII ones, but the monster-filled Howling Commandos instead! Stay tuned! We've actually been building up this team already, but we've got a new member coming soon!

DTB DTB131: Vermin Minifig MOC (Marvel Supervillain)

May 16, 2020 Add Comment

Vermin is basically a Rat Man. I don't mean a snitch, I mean a humanoid rat!

Parts used:
Hair - Manbat
Head, torso - Lurtz (LOTR) (PG540)
Others - Generic

I was gonna use a head piece for him with shorter ears, but it would make him look too similar to my MOC Werewolf By Night so I decided to use a spare Manbat's hair piece instead.

I would've preferred shorts-like legs for him but I didn't have any spares at the moment,

I've got more MOCs incoming! Since I haven't been able to go to AngeloMarcus Greenhills in so long [cause of quarantine], I've been itching for new minifigures and so I've been "making my own" new figures instead!

DTB DTB130: Marvel's Two-Gun Kid Minifig MOC

May 15, 2020 Add Comment

If what I know is right, Two-Gun Kid is a modern superhero who was inspired by a "fictional" comic book character (as in, in their world, there's a comic book character named Two-Gun Kid).

Parts used:
Head, hat - Wild West Captain America (PG373)
Kinda cheated here cause if you turn him around, you'll still see the "A" logo on that hat hahaha.
Torso - GI Joe Wild Bill (KF354)
Only thing missing with his torso are those spots you usally find on Cowboy vests. I guess other people could easily add them with markers or paint, but I chose not too in case of ruining the design haha. Wild Bill also came with the dual revolvers which helped complete the look.
Bandana/Scarf - Generic from Lego

There are also a couple of Captain America minifigures out there with dual molded or dual colored legs that look more like pants with boot in case you'd wanna improve on this MOC.

Inspiration images:

Lego Marvel Superheroes (the video game) also has their own Two-Gun Kid design, especially since there's a western themed story level in there.

Think I made a decent MOC? Or is it too forced? Well I'm hoping we see a real version of him soon since he's one of the popular wild west themed superheroes anyway.
